Greek School Central Coast Terms and Conditions

Greek School Central Coast (GSCC or Greek School CC) is part of the Community Languages Schools Program, which encompasses over 500 schools, teaching more than 60 languages to approximately 36,000 students across NSW. GSCC’s sole objective is to provide a welcoming environment for everyone, fostering a love for Greek heritage through engaging lessons and cultural activities.

These Course Terms and Conditions (Terms or T’s&C’s) will remain applicable until GSCC notifies the Student of their amendment.

1. DEFINITIONS AND INTERPRETATION

1.1 Definitions

In these Terms, unless the context requires otherwise:

1. GSCC means Greek School Central Coast ABN 75 516 573 266 of Class Location, Narara Community Center 2 Pandala Rd, Narara NSW 2250.
2. Agreement means the Enrolment Form and these terms and conditions.
3. Business Day means a day which is not a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday.
   Class means a Modern Greek course operated by GSCC.
4. Term means each School Term; each Term for GSCC is 9 weeks long.
5. Tuition Fees means the fees payable for the Class.
6. Enrolment fees means the fees to enroll that may be applicable to the Student.
7. Course Materials means any materials provided to a Student by GSCC for the purposes of a Course (but do not include textbooks).
8. Enrolment Form means the form by which the Student enrols in a Class, which may be either in paper form or online.
9. Parent/Guardian means the Parent or Guardian of an underage Student of a Class.
10. Student means an Adult Student of a Class.

2. APPLICATION

2.1 These Terms will apply to any Student enrolled in a Class.

2.2 The Student, or the Parent/Guardian agrees that a Class may be provided, at the sole discretion of GSCC:

1. in person, at the Narara location (or any further or other branch operated by GSCC from time to time).
   

3. ENROLMENT

3.1 A Student will enrol in a Class by completing an Enrolment Form and agreeing to be bound by these Terms.

3.2 Upon a Student enrolling in a Class, GSCC will issue him or her or the Parent/Guardian with:

1. a confirmation document specifying the details and duration of the relevant Class; and
2. a tax invoice for the applicable Tuition Fees and Enrolement Fees
   

4. CLASSES

4.1 Our classes are divided by age and language level, ensuring consistent student maturity and learning capabilities in class.

4.2 A Student does not have the right to choose a particular teacher.  

4.3 Any change of Class requires the approval of the teacher.

4.5 Each Class will have a maximum of 15 students.  

4.6 GSCC reserves the right at its entire discretion to cancel an Enrolment by written notice to the Student. In the event of a cancellation, GSCC will offer the Student the choice of either:

1. attending another Class suitable to the Student; or
2. transferring their credits to a later Class.

4.7 GSCC reserves the right to change teachers during a Class.

4.8 A Trial Class is available only to new students and only during the first two weeks of a term. The cost of a trial class will be credited toward the student’s enrolment fees if they decide to join us in the term that they had their trial class.

5. COURSE FEES

Adult Class – Intermediate	$225* per term	$240** per term
Adult Class – Beginers	$185* per term	$200** per term

5.1 Payment of Class Fees

1. In consideration of GSCC providing the class, the student must pay GSCC the tuition fees for an enrollment to be finalised and confirmed.
2. All fees need to be processed before students commence class.
3. All tuition fees are payable online at the point of enrolment through Square Payment.
4. A 2.2% service fee from Square will be reflected in your invoice.
5. The Student must pay the Tuition Fees in full without set-off or deduction. 
6. The Course Fees will not be refundable even if the Student does not complete the Term.
   

5.2 Late enrolments

Late enrolments may be permitted to the discretion of GSCC if a Term has already commenced.

5.3 No discount will be offered for the Enrolment Fee at any time.

5.4 Late enrolments will be charged an additional $15 for textbook postage.

REFUNDS

6.1 Subject to clause

6.2 A Student will only be entitled to a refund of Tuition Fees if the Student cancels their enrolment 7 Business Days or more before the Term commencement date.

6.3 A Student will only be entitled to a refund of Tuition Fees if he or she cancels their enrolment less than 7 Business Days before the Term commencement date if the Student satisfies GSCC that special circumstances exist, such as:

1. a medical emergency supported by a medical certificate;
2. financial hardship (such as that Student has lost their job)

6.4 Enrolment fees are not refundable.

6.5 Any refund is at the sole discretion of GSCC.

6.6 GSCC will charge an administration fee of $30 in relation to any cancellation, which (where applicable) will be deductible from any refund payable under this clause 6.

6.7 The Student may, if he or she wishes, request that any refund be retained by GSCC as a credit towards a future Class, in which case the credit must be used within 12 months.

7. TEXTBOOKS

7.1 Textbooks are not included as part of the Course Materials for our Adult Classes and must be purchased separately.

7.2 GSCC will not accept the return of any textbooks and will not refund the price of any textbooks purchased from GSCC.

8. STUDENT OBLIGATIONS

The Student must:

1. ensure that any information he or she provides to GSCC is accurate;
2. notify GSCC immediately of any changes to his or her contact details;
3. conduct him or herself civilly and respectfully at all times when interacting with GSCC’ staff, teachers and other students, whether in person or in telephone calls, emails, instant chats or any other media.  
4. not, under any circumstances, use abusive language or harass staff, teachers and other students. GSCC reserves the right to determine, at its sole discretion, what constitutes abusive language and harassment, and where that has occurred; and may, partially or completely, deny service to the infringing Student;
5. GSCC may, in its sole discretion, refuse re-enrolment of the Student to any other Class.

9. PRIVACY

9.1 GSCC will only use a Student’s ‘personal information’ (as that term is defined in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth)) :

to provide the Student with the learning services contemplated by the Class in accordance with GSCC’ Privacy Statement which may be viewed at: https://greekschoolcc.org/privacy-policy/

9.2 GSCC will use its best efforts to keep any personal information of a Student secure and to ensure that any of its employees or agents who have access to information about the Student do not make any unauthorised use, modification, reproduction or disclosure of that information.

9.3 GSCC will only disclose a Student’s information:

1. to the extent specifically required by law and by the department of education NSW; or
2. for the purposes of the Student’s enrolment in a Class (including disclosing information in connection with any query or claim).
   

9.4 Information provided by the Student is considered confidential and will not be divulged to any third party, nor will it be sold.
